Le Normandie

Le Normandie

Two Michelin-starred Chef Dilling’s modern interpretation of French cuisine. A new chapter in fine dining unveils on 18 September 2024.

When it first opened in November 1958, the Tower Wing - now known as the Garden Wing  - was hailed as an architectural masterpiece, standing tall as one of Thailand’s highest buildings. At its pinnacle was Le Normandie Grill, an opulent dining room featuring a Norman-style chimney-piece crowned with two rampant lions, the emblem of Normandy. In 1969, the restaurant underwent a major transformation, emerging as Le Normandie - Bangkok’s first fine dining destination.

In 2015, Le Normandie was revitalised with a contemporary twist on its original grandeur. The redesigned interior retained the classic elegance of one of Asia’s most beloved French restaurants, but enhanced it with striking new features. Handcrafted chandeliers, a new wine cellar, featuring top selections from both Old and New World vineyards, a custom-made dessert trolley, and Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok’s legendary tableside service, complete this refined dining experience.

Le Normandie has consistently been recognised for its excellence. It was one of only six restaurants in Thailand to be awarded 2 stars in the Michelin Guide Thailand 2021 and retained its 2-star status since the inaugural Michelin Guide Bangkok 2018 - for four consecutive years. It is also the only French restaurant in Thailand listed in the esteemed Les Grandes Tables du Monde guide.

Le Normandie is now embarking on an exciting new chapter with two Michelin-starred Chef Alex Dilling. From 18 September 2024 to 31 January 2025, guests will have the unique opportunity to experience Chef Dilling’s modern interpretation of French cuisine, showcasing his celebrated culinary artistry.
