The Mandarin Cake Shop

Lovers of pastries, cakes and chocolates can now pick up their favourite treats from the Mandarin Cake Shop, a new outlet in WF Central, Wangfujing, where the hotel is situated.

The classy shop is located on the second floor of the building's east wing and has a tempting range of sweet treats that are available for takeaway. Until now, the fabulous creations of the hotel's famed pastry chefs were only available in the two stylish restaurants and trendy late-night lounge; lovers of desserts will appreciate being able to pick up an order to enjoy in the office, the park, on the go, or at home.

Among the mouth-watering range on offer is The Mandarin, an exquisite pastry which contains orange, chocolate, cream and almond, along with coffee eclair, lemon tart, double chocolate tart and vanilla caramel mousse. The shop also has an enticing array of yummy cakes – just right for birthdays, and other celebrations – chocolates and macaroons, as well as freshly baked croissants, baguettes, muffins and different kinds of loaves. Naturally, there is a wide range of drinks available, including different speciality teas and coffees, juices, soft drinks and mineral water.

The shop itself uses dark brown wood as the main colour palette, with glass showcases and white classic marble countertops, giving the overall environment an elegant and stylish look, in keeping with the Mandarin Oriental luxury ethos.
