Forest Bathing Therapy
In partnership with New England Nature and Forest Therapy Consulting, Mandarin Oriental, Boston and The Spa are pleased to offer guests a new Forest Therapy Wellness Experience.
Forest Therapy, "shinrin yoku” in Japanese which translates to “forest bathing”, is a research-driven wellness practice using ancient traditions of mindfulness, providing physical and mental health benefits through immersion in forests and other natural environments. Forest Therapy demonstrates an array of health benefits for cardiovascular and immune systems, while also showing evidence to support and improve mood and cognition. It is practiced in forests as well as other natural ecosystems and outside environments, including reservoirs, city parks and botanic gardens.
Join our dedicated Certified Forest Therapy Guide, Nadine Mazzola, for a guided session held at Boston’s Arnold Arboretum, located just 4 miles from the hotel. Guests will meet at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston lobby and will be transported to and from the Arnold Arboretum. Sessions conclude with a Tea Ceremony and Mindful Meditation.
This 90-minute experience is USD 250 per person, including transportation. Sessions can be held rain or shine and may be executed privately or in small groups. As a dog-friendly hotel, this experience is encouraged as an activity to enjoy with your pup.
